Azul Prusia presents Manifiesto
Azul Prusia’s Manifiesto, released today, is a striking debut for a project that began in 2023 but has its roots in three decades of songwriting. The album is a moody, layered blend of synthpop, ambient textures, and indie rock atmospheres, drawing influence from iconic names like Depeche Mode, Gustavo Cerati, and Recoil. It’s a statement piece in both sound and spirit.
The record doesn’t settle into one lane. Instead, it drifts between intimate ambient passages and synth-driven pulses that feel both nostalgic and current. While the sonic palette clearly nods to acts like Soda Stereo and Pet Shop Boys, the tone often leans darker and more introspective, occasionally evoking the ghostly presence of Leonard Cohen or the cinematic minimalism of Pink Floyd’s more atmospheric moments.
The song “Aniversario” has a beautiful indie folk vibe with prominent acoustic guitars and a dreamy soundscape that feels minimalistic and dynamic. However, there’s room for many other styles and vibes on this particular album. This is only an example of what to expand from this mercurial and highly dynamic record which combines personal lyrics in Spanish with a wider ray of sounds for instance, “Kyrie” offer us a beautiful dive into a trip of sound in the vein of artists like Massive Attack or Portishead, among others. These are only but a few examples of the incredibly dynamic diversity that people can find on this record. As if the sheer variety of this release was not impressive enough it’s awesome to think that the artist actually handled the project for the most part entirely by himself.
Azul Prusia handled almost everything on the album solo, with a rotating cast of vocalists and guest musicians adding texture without disrupting the vision. This approach gives Manifiesto a collage-like quality. Each track feels like a snapshot from a different emotional landscape, unified by an underlying sense of solitude and reflection.
For listeners into projects like Dead Rituals or Recoil, there’s a similar tension between electronic production and raw lyrical weight. Manifiesto feels less like a debut and more like an artist stepping forward with a fully-formed world, sharpened by years of quiet work and passion for music.

El disco propone una mezcla envolvente y melancólica de synthpop, texturas ambient y atmósferas de rock indie, con influencias que van de Depeche Mode y Gustavo Cerati a Recoil. Es una obra que dice mucho, tanto en lo sonoro como en lo espiritual.
El álbum no se queda en un solo registro. Fluctúa entre pasajes ambientales e íntimos y pulsos sintéticos que suenan, a la vez, nostálgicos y actuales. Si bien la paleta sonora remite claramente a proyectos como Soda Stereo o Pet Shop Boys, el tono tiende a ser más oscuro e introspectivo, evocando por momentos la presencia fantasmal de Leonard Cohen o el minimalismo cinematográfico de los pasajes más etéreos de Pink Floyd.
